This is weird.  I looked at the archives on info about the safari series because I just purchased a NOS snakeskin and it says that the cheetah is supposed to be orange lava and clear liquid.  My cheetah has orange liquid/white lava!  I luv it!!  I think it looks way better on the base then the clear/orange, however, is this an original globe?  I don't remember the safari series being out during the custom build it yourself era, so did they make 2 globes for the cheetah lamp in the safari series?

Don't know for sure but I think only 1 globe

Carol, I have two Cheetah lamps both have clear/orange globes. I bought these just for the globes..lol. I really like the clear/orange globes!

I think that my globe is from a torte due to the fact that it is orange liquid with white lava, but the flow is so vintage amazing and it looks so clear that I don't care, lol!!!  Sometimes I prefer the colored liquids and sometimes not.  It depends on what color combo it is and what colors the lamps are next to it.  My tastes switch up like the wind, lol!!!

That's a great thing about lava lamps, you can change out the globe on a whim, depending on decoration preferences, mood, or whatever!
