Hello all,
I was on holiday in the San Francisco area (wow! I've fallen in love with SF ever since.Wish people in my country were so kind and friendly to strangers....) in September. While visiting the Monterey Bay Aquarium, I came across the Paperweight Large Jellyfish lamps by Dynasty Gallery in their gift shop.I bought the Teal Glow Jellyfish lamp and the corresponding LED light base. Very nice IMO, glad they made it safely back to Europe :) (BTW I believe the lamp looks better in real life than on the photo on the company site http://www.dynastygallery.com/Prod-18-1-1444-57/large-jellyfish-tea... . On my recently added photo on my profile, you can see the lamp. I can provide better photos here if anybody's interested.
I love how the company markets itself (http://www.dynastygallery.com/26/about-us.htm):
Our products represent the other side of “made in China”. This is no industrial out pour, but the work of industrious artisans. The humble hands which breathe life into our designs are rich of a talent scarcely found any longer; their dexterity evokes a time when imagination was not sacrificed on mechanized production lines but instead ignited the craftsman’s artistic ingenuity.
I know a certain company that could, perhaps, learn a thing or two from them ;-)
Unfortunately I've not been able to find European companies that sell their products, but I see they ship to Europe. Shipping costs will probably be huge. If possible I'll buy from them again though, I like supporting smaller companies that release quality stuff.
Anyone familiar with this company and their products?
Kind regards, Vincent
