Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I thought I would share with everyone a cool tidbit. One thing I really did not like about lava lamp bulbs was the overly yellow cast they added to the lamp. So, with my knowledge of light bulbs, I decided to swap out a few for the GE Reveal bulbs. These bulbs "filter" the light and make it more white and less yellow. Gives a more natural look.

I am happy to say, it let's my lavas true colors come out. There is much less yellow and a better color from the globe.

Im gonna try that, I just use the 40w standard bulb lava world put in the lamps 14 years ago.
Try it. Really does get rid of some of the yellow hue. Looks great on clear lamps. I don't have any colored liquid lamps to try out.
If I can remember correctly doesn't this bulb kinda look purple, I've seen them at walmart for years. You have no color liquid globes, I have so many that I want to get rid of, looking for anything in particular?
Yeah, it's a blue/violet. I just noticed they have a "frosted" one as well as the clear. Sweet! I will have to pick some of those up now too.

Lol, nope. No colored liquid globes. The only one I have is my Grande. Everything else is clear. Not looking for anything in particular in the colored category. Except maybe midnight globes. You have any midnights?
Yes, that looks very nice! Very little yellow.
I have so many Midnights, what color you lookin for?
You have Yahoo or Aim?
MattMJB0188 on both
