I lost my beloved Pongo (Cow) on December 8th of last year. I cannot express how much I miss him. I lost my best friend. I think about him all of the time, and everything reminds me of him.  Here's a nice picture of him, as well as pictures of our cat named Vida, Fred our basset hound mix, Rocco our chihuahua mix, and Lucy our Pomeranian mix.  They're all from the humane society, except for Vida who we took in after he started living on our porch.  We brought him inside when the weather got cold, and we've had him ever since.

Losing a beloved furry friend is never easy and hurts like hell....i'm tearing up as I type this.  I've done rescue and have worked in the animal field until recently for 20 years.  I lost my 2 furbabies 9 months apart a few years back.  My golden retriever was almost 10 years old and my black lab was 13 1/2..........i rescued 2 more large breeds since then, and my pack is back to 5.....but I never forget the fur friends that I've lost along the way.  Now I have:

Yep. That's Fred. He's kind of mean, but for some reason we still love him! :)
