Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Howdy folks. Am putting on an art show in May and want to turn an empty traffic island bollard I've got into a giant lava lamp. It's about three and a half feet tall by one foot square, semi-opaque so as to be illuminated from within at night (picture of type attached). Are there any lava lamps that'd be big/powerful enough to give a liquid wax effect on its surface if placed inside? Or would something like a Mathmos projector be the way to go?

Sorry for my ignorance and the obscure question, but figured this'd be the best place to get some expert advice.

Ahh yes the famous 'keep left' sign of the United Kingdom. (there's one of these abandoned at the end of my road!)

Yes, like Bohdan says, perhaps a lava Grande would do the trick in size but also as they are relatively inexpensive to purchase here compared to a two footer like the Mathmos Lunar.
there is no such thing as a clear grande anymore bought new. They are all cloudy. I'm thinking the mathmos projector would give you what you're looking for.
