Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hello. I am having another clear-out of my lamps. Looking round at reputable couriers, the cheapest I can ship a lamp from UK to USA is about £45 (73$). This seems a huge amount to me, although I have had people pay it. I currently use Parcel2go who use DHL, Parcelforce etc. I have tried DHL etc direct, but they are dearer. I could ship economy with a courier who uses actual ships, but then its weeks before delivery. Anyone got a regular courier that is a bit cheaper? Many thanks in advance x

i sent a lunar bottle to germany by global priority, if you read the small print, it does not cover you for breakage if the item your sending is made of glass, my bottle broke on the way and they would not give me a penny compensation
Thanks for your thoughts. I have been having another look round this evening (including the thread here of "Royal Fail", and will just have to go with it. I would much rather offer a trackable service with a reputable company rather than get a poor service. I am aware that ultimately I wouldn't have any cover on a lava lamp as they shouldn't be posted! Most of my lamps weigh over 2kg once they are securely packed, so theres not much else I can do. Thought I'd ask in case I had missed something though.

Thanks folks x
