How many lamps do you run on an average evening?

I know most of us have sizable collections. And many of us have lamps scattered in various rooms. I have about 50 lamps myself, the bulk of of them being downstairs. Every now and again, I bring a few upstairs and run them, but I don't have a good display area to even put ten lamps. I'm working on that. ;)

 

So, on an average evening at home, how many lamps do you run? How many in each room?

 

Tonight, I'm running four glitter Wizards in the kitchen, three Centuries in the livingroom and in the bedroom, one Grande and two 32oz. lamps. 10 lamps total. That's high for me though. Most nights I just run 1-3 lamps. Some nights, no lava is running.

I'm simply running one cloudy Mid -90's Astro with whitish yellowy wax which doesn't flow in the hope that one day it might clear itself and start flowing properly!

My max is about 3 at any given time otherwise the parents might complain. I share my bedroom with about 130 lava lamps (inc. Glitters and Fibers).

 

Not much room for me but they always get a good night's rest!

i share a room with 20. I have to run only 3 or 4, 5 max. If i run more i have to run lots of fans and it gets really hot

A lot of them a packed away safe and sound but now some are creeping onto the floor and invading that precious space. one even tried to sneak in my bed the other night!

I've got 25 lava lamps, one glitter and one fiber, and one lava lamp on its way via ebay.

Allways have at least one running day or night. three or four on average, my two Grandes get a run on weekends, and on high days and holidays as many as I can find extention leads and sockets for !

They are all in my chill room except for a blue/blue baby astro I have on a timer as a nite lite in my bedroom.

Our house is really small, so that's why so many of mine are in the basement. I just don't have a good area to setup a bunch of lamps.

I have the same problem Erin, it's only a small 3 bed semi, no basement and I cant bring myself to put any in the attic. every available surface in the back room has got lamps on it...a nightmare to dust ! lol...but very pretty at night.

Oh, I bet it's gorgeous at night! We DO have a basement, so we're lucky there. It's unfinished, but good for storage. Our upstairs and basement are each 720 square feet. 

I do notice that the 10 lamps I have on tonight are definitely raising the temp in here!

I don't achulie have mine on often but when i do its noramly 1-4 or 1 areara at a time as the lamps on each areara are off 1 socket. If i realy want to get the goo going I will just put all my lamps on at once.

I think I am getting the same issue like most collectors have - that of running out of space so about a quater of my collection is in storage or waiting to be repared / gookited

Like Aladdin I have all of my lamps in my room (except the glitter babies) as I don't want to swamp the whole house with them and annoy my parents too much.

Actually, I hardly ever run most of my lamps. I'll run something if I just bought it, then after a few runs, I just find a place for it and look for something else to buy.

I will run 1 shelf of lamps at a time which is about 8 lamps, any more than that and it just gets too hot until Winter time sets in here.
