Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Nancy told me that my father-in-law had heard through the grapevine that
I was supporting the Occupy protests and asked if I would shed some
light on it for him.  I put together this quick email for him and
pointed him to 3 items to check out to get up to speed on what is
happening.  I hope you have time to look over these too.  If you do, I
think you will find that you support the Occupy movement as well.

Hi Frank,

Nancy mentioned that you were curious about this protest.  I have become
a supporter of it, but I have not actually protested yet.  There is a
small Occupy ABQ thing that I might go down to one of these days.  I've
become a supporter because they are fighting for the american dream;
fairness for the middle class.

Here are 3 things to check out to put it into perspective:

1.  These guys don't even know why they are protesting:

2.  The facts.  16 graphs that could make your stomach sick:

3.  An orchestrated move.  Super interesting leaked citigroup memo
explaining that the US has become a plutocracy.  With your background
you might find this one to be the most interesting read:

If you have any questions, I'll do my best to answer them.  How do we
fix it?  Where do we go from here?  This is the tough part; we need
proper representation and we need to be heard.  This is democracy in
action; the people stand up, the politicians listen.  We've been quiet
for way too long.

I support them too. Maybe they are what we need to turn this country around.

Well, they are definitely what we need - as long as it does not get twisted and taken over by the Democratic Party.  Right now, there are many different types of people in the movement:  lefties, independents, libertarians, moderate righties.  It is bigger than Rep V Dem.  It needs to stay that way.  We need such huge change, but we always fail to get it because the two parties pit us against each other.

Hi,
I have Protested with the Occupy SLO let me say if you have never Protested don't it is Not a Safe Place to be. I spent 10 days Protesting One person with a Voice Can Make Change!!!
On day 4 violance came to Occupy SLO and my brother got his are Broken been in a cast for the last 4 weeks.
A person must stand up for what is Right and Just!!!
My sigh says "JUSTICE FOR ALL"
Have a Nice Day!!!

The outrage and emotions of the Occupy protesters are justified but the target of their protests is misdirected.

Protesting Wall Street for being too greedy is like protesting your local zoo's tigers for eating too much meat.

It is Washington that makes the rules for the Financial Industry and Wall Street. Washington is where the Occupy protesters should be.

Hi,

Wall Street is the Best place to Protest...

Have a Nice Day!!!
