I just feel sorry for the new demographic who will never know any flow other than the new round blob style flow.  I just love the varied shapes you can get with the old lava, the column, the oblong blobs, the ripples when blobs hit each other, I just don't see it in my newer lamps.

Agreed!!! and don't forget lava tears.... U can still get this, but most never hear of the company :-(

I see all of you got that same sinking feeling from the US vid as I did. The Mathmos one made me smile. Especially hearing Mr Walker talk of the female and male shapes the goo creates. Guess it wasn't my imagination ;)

Oh and wonder if the female office worker at LL was Susan???

Cool to see them on TV even if it wasn't in the best light... as the camera pans away from stacked skids to a carton that clearly says "made in china". I wonder if LL will make a bigger deal of their 50th...

I'm guessing that production won't be coming back to the states this year... or ever.

I was thinking the same thing Lightening Head ;)  Even my small town local news had a story on the 50th which was surprisingly nice to see.
