Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

As someone who is patiently waiting for the new lava source to get up and running I was wondering about Color Dye for the Lava.  In the past I got mine from Magna Tower as well.  I know you can use food coloring for the liquid but not the lava.  I still have some Dye left but do not know what the Magna Tower dye is actually made of.  What about new sources for the Dye?  And Maybe someone could provide some info on what the dye consists of.  Thanks.

Use candle dye. Any oil soluble dye will also work. Candle dye is the easiest for DIY because it is easily available in many colors in small quantities for very cheap.

Thanks for that Info Autumn.

Will this work with China Schylling wax? I have a lamp from Spencer's and would like to dye the wax to a darker color.
