Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I found this in an ally by work. I know it's from the icon series, but can anybody tell me more about it? Thanks !

This is the Lav-Alien from the first icon series. It was probably made in the late 1990s. It's in amazing condition for being found in an alley! It even still has the plastic top. Here's a picture on the box from the Lava Library.

Thank you Alex ! It needed a bulb so I got one and it is working perfectly. The lava is flowing nicely. I checked out the base and there is no chips or scratches. Thanks for the pic of the box. It says it was made in Chicago which is where I'm from and live. Even cooler. Not that I would sell it, but do you have any idea of the worth ? I found one on eBay, but it was just the base with lots of chips and scratches. I'm going to keep it no matter what the value is.

Wow, great rescue job. Alien ceramic icon.

Nice find and rescue job

Unbelievable that people would toss out something like this

I paid $200.00 for my Alien Icon lava lamp with box about 8 years ago.

Icon lamps can be found on Ebay for less these days in various conditions -

Here it is up and flowing nicely.

Thank you MileHigh. I'm going to keep it.
