That sounds really promising! As long as they have the grande formula in them lol! Today just over 4 hours in and my pink grande is flowing beautifully, it was a little warm when i turned it on though and i moved it to a warm spot on a silver base to test.

Absolutely Jonas - some of what they were trying to accomplish on their prototypes I have never even seen attempted on any other motion lamp.  They bring it to market and there will not be another lamp like it (and not even close really).  I think my jaw literally hit the floor when I first saw it as I muttered "no freakin way!"

YOU TELL ME ALL YOUR SECRETS RIGHT NOW.

i just wanted to take a moment to point out that we're all here because we love lava lamps.  we originally found this site because we wanted to be a part of a community of like-minded individuals.  we weren't always connoisseurs of stretchy blobs and perfect combinations of surfactant and wax.  we weren't always critical about something soo peaceful, that the hobby turned into work and worry.  let's remember why we are here, and return to a peaceful state of mind.  we have a great company here that takes care of us.  there is nothing to worry about.  peace and lava - Brad

I'm still spending my money, I want a "premium" lamp if that's what they'll advertise and charge me for. I don't care if it's a "peace" item, you guys let LL get away with half assed "premium" lamps just cuz it's a "peace" item c'mon that's ridiculous, all they want is money, cut corners and deliver a terrible product because they make more money. They don't care what this item symbolizes.. There's no excuse for delivering a TERRIBLE lamp so far nobody has gotten a nice century, I'm not gonna try to convince myself that there good because they're not.

I don't love THESE lamps, tell you that much.

Well said Brad. Well said :)

With all due respect Rodrigo - I don't think anyone here lets Lava Lite get away with anything.  I have bought my fair share of lamps that were insta-Goo Kit candidates the second they were pulled from the tube.  That being said...

Lava Lite has shown tremendous progress in my opinion.  I think most on here can agree that the 52 ounce Neons were a smash hit.  Stumbled out of the gate, absolutely, but once they figured things out the lamps were great.  The rainbow, clear/pink plaid, Color Max, Tie Dye.... the trend continues.  Seems like more of us are getting good lamps than bad ones and this certainly wasn't always the case.

I think you may be inserting malicious intent when none is present.  I don't feel this is simply a cash grab by Lava Lite.  While maybe not nearly as passionate as all of us, the staff does come across as enthusiasts.  Susan is a glitter fan herself.

And, if you're not happy, simply put, return the lamp(s). Make your complaint known, but be civil. Money talks and if these don't sell well or they get too many returns, then they need to go back to the drawing board.

I'd say give it at least a week of regular use on the provided base and bulb.

When I first got my Neon, I thought there was no hope of it getting better...but it did...a lot better...so much so that I bought 3 more.  They all exhibited lousy behaviour at first.  So, that is what my hope is with the Heritage Century. Hopefully the patience pays off.

I am NOT happy with this pos.

I have no malicious intent at all, im just very upset that this is what the outcome of the Heritage century is (the most important lamp in the lineup because its an icon) and cannot understand why they couldnt apply what they learned with the neons to these? This formula is clearly different and not only are the globes acting weird but the bases dont even get hot enough for any other globe, regardless of brand of bulb.

These lamps just arent worth 50$ to me, id rather return and pick up another grande, which is five times the lamp for only twice the price. Maybe i expected too much? I dont know, but getting a bent base with a cloudy globe and then waiting for a whole 24 hours for the base wont melt the wax, and then the globe overheats on any other base just killed the vibe for me. I expected for 50$ to get something that would flow out of the box, with a few days of color break in and some weeks of improving flow, but to actually flow.

Damn autumn, what happened there? Arrived cloudy??

Yep, it arrived like this. It has not even been ran once.
