Pictures of all the Grandes will come up when you click Grande, but the first two with black bases are the Heritage Series,  and the silver bases are the regular ones.    You can also click "Heritage Series" on the home page where it shows that picture on top of the page.   Check out the "drop downs" at the top also to find the bulbs under "buy."   Stuff is sort of scattered around and it's confusing.  ;-))

Ok, thanks. I wasn't sure as that bulb's description didn't mention the heritage grande, and the heritage grande doesn't come up when you click on "grande" on LL's website.

Yeah your right, they are there. They only were listed under heritage series at first, they are under grande now too. I haven't been on their site for a while, all the good pictures are here!

You're not alone!   I was confused bad when I first got on that site.

Heritage Grande (have both colors) are as awesome as everyone has said. I wish ALL lamps could be this perfect! My Heritage red/yellow/copper is crap, though. Everything just floats to the top and stays there. Reflector bulb hasn't helped. It looks nice when it's off, but not when it's running. Purple/yellow Wizard flow is acceptable, but kind of boring. Still....I always wanted a wizard.

I FOUND "THE" PROPER BULB FOR THE HERITAGE LAMP...

Philips, 45watts, Halogena, indoor/outdoor PAR16 FLOOD.  420 Lumens, medium base (standard incandescent bulb base), Rated for 3,000 hours.  Ordering code: 45PAR16/HAL/FL/LL.  120 volts.

I paid $9.97 for this bulb at Home Depot here in Atlanta, GA.   Lava Lite will NEVER include this bulb because of its expense, but I have found it works PERFECTLY, although I still have to fiddle with the dimmer a bit to get it just right.  Still - the flow is nowhere near what it was when the lamps were made here in the U.S. It's cheap, crappy Chinese quality-control.  I owned an American-made lamp I bought new in 1978, and used through my college years.  It looked the same dimension-wise, but the glass was much clearer, and the lava flow MUCH better, and - no dimmer required.  It took a standard, inexpensive 40-watt appliance bulb.

Unfortunately, Mathmos's legal team screwed up big-time when they sold the rights without any recourse to start selling their version here in the U.S.  I've talked with them in the U.K., and they tell me they'd love to make a U.S.-wired version and sell it here, even though it would be more expensive, because they know there's a market for it -  but they are prohibited by their legal agreement with Lava Lite of Chicago.  Also - Wal-Mart and Target probably would never carry the lamps if they cost 50 - 100% more than they do now, being made in China.  Very sad.

Ditto here, Phishy.  I love both my Heritage Grandes, they are awesome.   I'm fixin to put a 52 oz. glitter globe I've got on my yellow/red Century base, I'm tired of tweaking it just to get still bad flow.  So glad you got your Wizard, mine are my favorite lamps, both glitter and lava.  ;-)

Someone mentioned that LL was sending new bulbs to everyone who order a Century. Has anyone who *hasn't* personally requested a bulb gotten one? I hadn't, so earlier this week I emailed them about it, but I've received no response.

I know several people got theirs, but i think youve gotta email them and ask for one.

Email them again, Egnix, and mention you are a member of OG and that several members had already gotten their replacement bulbs.

My email to customer support on Sunday was never responded to, but Susan just responded to an email I sent directly to her today. She said she thought she had already sent me a bulb (if she did, it hasn't made it to me), so they're supposedly sending another.
Got my fingers crossed...

I am opting for a return still. I have email Susan today to ask for the RMA. For the cost, it's just not worth keeping. I'd have a hard time selling it someday, too. No sense in keeping it around. I'll keep the other three though, though I do feel the same way about the Wizard. At least the Wizard doesn't have wax residue stuck around the top of the globe, above the liquid line.

I'm keeping my Wizard too, it flows, but it's extremely borrrrrring with just two or three balls, no stretchy flow except every now and then.   I'm still fiddlin with the Century, but it's wasted time.  It ran better with the 60 watt bulb I put in it than the replacement bulb.  Been on for over 24 hours and it's a constant running to dim, then running to turn it up cause it's frozen in a spike.  Something is badly wrong with liquid and/or wax on all these Centuries.
