Come on ... spill the beans ;o)

I found three bargain  Mathmos Lava lamps all within a week.

A mint Jet, yellow base and cap clear/yellow locally on Gumtree £5 that has the best flow ever and my first double.

A pink/orange early Mathmos/Crestie Astrolamp, charity shop £5.99 (went cloudy on me)

And best of all a blue/purple Astrolamp from ebay BIN £16.99 described as exellent condition, it looked good in the photo's and should arrive tomorrow so fingers crossed.

I will put some photo's up soon.

Happy daze !

Oh Bollocks...

The blue/purple!  arrived today.. its another faded  pinkyredcranberry...ugh.

I'm just about done with sneaky ebayers...when will I ever learn !

I do wonder what some eBayers do with their lamps, they must sit and shake them for weeks on end. Some look so cloudy you can't imagine anyone ever buying them. Cruelty to lamps is what it is!

I bought a Clear/orange jet recently (pretty cheap) but it turned out to be faded violet, and not nearly as clear as it looked in the pictures.

The other finds are good though, so two out of three isn't bad, and we can always find new bottles!
