looking for help identifying lamp

Hi everone. I have a lamp that i guess is a knock off. the base is different from the real lava lites i see on line. the jar has a metal coil in the bottom. i got it at a yard sale about 25 yrs ago. the switch is on the cord. any assistance would be greatly appreciated. thanks so much! newbie goo head.
