Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Ok here is the deal

I am referbing a 52 oz lamp

i bought a magma tower kit

i followed the instructions it came with and looked at the instructions online here

https://oozinggoo.ning.com/page/goo-kits

I Cleaned bottle

a cleaned coil

melted the goo

colored the goo

funneled it to the bottom

Let it cool added suf in distilled water

Plugged lamp up and this is what i get...

It looks like it is running too hot so  i put it on a dimmer switch and it still stays at the bottom...

Can anyone let me know what i did wrong...

The goo is soft and will move when lamp is bumped but will not Go up

Thank you for any help
