Mathmos Space Projector Worth A Buy?

Not sure if I have asked this before, so please excuse me.  I have seen people ask similar questions.  Is this worth a purchase?  It looks really cool and it seems like it would do an excellent job, however - does it?  Does it have to be like 3 ft from the wall to look good or can it have some distance?

Couple of other things..

Where can I find it in White?
Where is the blue/blue oil disc?  - I saw this on Mathmos in a photo but it's not an option in the color wheels???

Yeah, total darkness is not an issue. I have a huge room I don't want to use regular lights. I am going more for a mood lighting theme. This might do it. I would need about 3 or 4 of them to do it up right. I will start off with one though and see how it is.

Silver is the only option I see. There is no white?

Hey kris, having more than one is better, I went to the carboot sale on three Sundays in a row and pick one up everyweek...very strange. They are really pretty to have. I ended up with two reds and a blue green and pick up a couple of the picture discs when iwas last at the mathmos shop. Adjust the lens and the distance the projecter is from the wall to get the best results.

They are also great to have on if your having a party. If your into jappanesse Anime and you have a projector near the tv this works really well for a party talking point = - )

I really can't wait to find one of these. I am holding out to see if one comes up cheap somewhere. That way I can give it a test run and see if I really want to spend $100 for it. I have the PERFECT area too.
