Mismatched elek-tricks

I got a blue elek-trick awhile ago, in the box but it has purple lava, I figured this was probably just a fluke or something, but recently I picked up another elektrick with a yellow base, but lime green lava. All the elektricks I see here have matching lava and bases, are mismatched lava and bases common or did I get something screwed up?

They sold some with different combinations as you are finding.

The bases and globes were sold separately at one time so any combination is possible. If you bought a boxed lamp and it says Electrik Series it should have the color matching globe.

 What is the number on the bottle cap ? They did make a lot of blue wax globes that looked more purple than blue.
