it cant be real. i saw a show recently that said the moon rocks are a priceless national treasure. even if a real one did come up for sale i dont think it would be on ebay. it would be at some big fancy auction house with tons of publicity.

Moon rock. Is it or isn't it? I just want to state fact here. We had six manned lunar landings from '69-'72, and none to date ever since. So for 40 yrs. we have not set foot on the moon. Things that make you go, HHMMMMM.

All valid points I would think it would be on the news and fancy auction house! However he claims to have proof that it's real and his. And has had it since 1979. NASA did gift a lot of the rocks. But Iit seems odd to be on eBay lol. The fees to list must be huge! Plus who wants 4.5 mill in the mail lol

I would like to mention that while I do not think this is a real listing, I am not going to completely discount it after the numerous items that have been put on ebay to raise money for charity.

Surley if its a real moon rock then why put it on Ebay and not in a spealisht auction where it can be properly authenactacted and the potenchal buyers can see it in person.

I think that as the starting price is 4 and a half million and there is a reserve then iver its a complete con or someone really has a moon rock and is putting it on there to see if it will achulie make that and if it does then good but if not then judging at the price I don't think the seller wants it to go.
