Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Was the orange/clear globe available in a midnight screwcap? The seller doesnt want to compromise the seal of the lamp by opening it and reading the sticker. The date on the base cannot be read as well. Are there anymore ways to find out the specific model? The lava looks more like an aztec sungold than orange to me. Pic below.

I'm pretty sure that's not an original Orange/Clear, looks like a faded Blue/White. No, they weren't offered in a screw cap, just the cap that slips over the bottle cap. Be careful! The Aztec, if I'm correct, was a screw cap... in the off chance it could be one?
Thats what I was thinking too! It doesnt seem orange enough compared to other oranges I have seen. I have an aztec and the color looks very close, if not the same. It also has a dark red/copperish base and screw cap while this is black. Maybe it is that ever elusive clear/peach???
Have the seller lift the outter cap off... if he continues to be difficult, pass on the lamp.
