Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

How hard is it to buy parts?  The thing that seems to be most often missing is the cap that covers the bottle cap.  I have not seen many for sale anywhere.  Any ideas here?

Thanks

Every once in awhile you see them on ebay, but it's rare that you get the size or the one that you need.  I guess the rarer the lamp, the older the lamp, the harder it is.  Some people stick some unique things on the top and believe it or not it doesn't look bad.  Sometimes you just have to be creative I guess.  You can try calling Susan at LL to see if they have any spares laying around.  You're right about parts though!!  They should sell them, but I guess at the low cost of their lamps now, they figure just buy a new lamp.  Who knows what they figure........

P.S.  that's why I don't buy lamps at auctions with missing parts.  Especially the hats!!!

lava lite sells non-screw caps.  i received some a while back by contacting their customer service team (susan).

Its not easy to get hold of parts - espshaly from LL Mathmos does sell parts such as spare bases, caps and bulbs etc apart form that it is very hard. A Ebay search and asking around hear is probably your best shot.
