Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Hello all! I’m a collector of tiki mugs and pinball machines, so it seemed kind of natural to expand the collecting sickness to my love of lava lamps. Below is a picture I found on the ‘net of my first lava lamp. Does anyone know anything about it? I picked it up at a garage sale in the mid-70’s when I was between 10 and 12. I vividly remember that it cost me $4, because that’s what I charged my neighbors to mow their lawns. Sadly, it was lost in the many house moves after my parents divorced.

I just added my first lava lamp in 40+ years, a 16.5” black/clear LavaLite with a cool black chrome base. It’s sitting next to my monitor on my desk, and it’s better than CBD for relaxing. I need more slow things in my life.

Thanks to the site admin for adding me; I look forward to many years of Goo ahead.

Thanks MileHigh. I’ve already got the RCA clock radio I had in ‘76, it would be cool to find a Mediterranean and recreate my 12-year-old nightstand.

How embarrassing, the subject should have been “Please TELL me”, not “Please me”. Sorry about that, lol.
