Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

well have a problem need a quick fix if any one can help me,I have a 1999 collectable yellow submarine.lava lamp,got packed away,lost half cup of fluid,still worked but wantad it full so took top off added water to top...now lava just sits on bottom when heated up,does not stretch to top or cotinue up and down...just sits on bottom melted...any help.......don`t want to ruin it expensive and collectors...burchardm@yahoo.com

lava lamps do not use regular water, so you've unbalanced the chemicals in the fluid which allow the wax to rise.
