questions on using the site

hi.
i'm not used to this forum and was wondering if there's a way to put the posts in chronological order instead of how they appear as off-shoots and replies and whatnot.
also, i can't figure out how to send 'private messages'. is that an option here?

I don't know about organizing posts, but to send a private message you must be "friends" with the message recipient. Add them as a friend and when they accept you will be able to private message them
