Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

I don't know if this has been discussed used before but hear goes.

Basickly what do you think is the best lava lamp (model and / or series, cloure etc) it doesn't have to be one which you would want the most or like at all, but one which captures the spirit of lava lamps; space age, abstract, random, 'hippy', timeless style etc.

Personally I think the best is the current Astrobaby (violet / orange) is the best as I believe it captures the essence of the lava lamp spirit.

What does everyone else think?

I gotta say the Century (or its overseas relative, the Astro). Nothing beats a Century. It's big, distinctive and classic.

That being said, my fave is the Carlisle. ;)

Colossus!!  4 feet of lava!! :-)

This baby is so cool.. I wish Mathmos would open a US website.. I would definatly buy one. I have too agree with Erin.. Century lamps are classic! Makes me feel like Im back in the day of my teenage years.. Ah I remember seeing them at parties  back in 1974.. LOL. So I have to say that the astro baby and century take me back to the hippie days.. Thumbs up!
I would have to say the Century.  It is the classic lava lamp, big and bold yet small enough for any room in the house.  That being said, I would trade every lava lamp I own for a Colossus like Wile E. Coyote's or Lamphead's Imperial
