unusual astro found at a boot sale

hi guys, i found a copper astro at a boot sale today, its one of the two piece bases, the unusual thing about this one is the bottom partup to the join is copper finish and the flared piece that the bottle sits in is crome, never come across one of these before, any info would be great, thanks
