What did I do wrong?

I opened my 8402 Midnight (it just sat in a blob) Put in epsom salts slowly,     but now it goes to the top and just hangs up there. Now what do I do Ive done one before and it worked great . Oh and I also added one drop of Dawn dish soap. HELP!
