Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Looking for ideas on what the issues might be with this lamp? It has air bubbles that like to form up top. It also has what looks like un-melted wax in the melted wax. Seems to only funnel like in the picture as well. I went from a clear bulb to a frosted. Didn't help.

Any ideas?

Maybe try emptying the fluid from the globe and then let the wax melt and cool then refill with the fluid?
I was thinking of emptying and let the wax melt some, but if I don't have to pop the top on a USA glboe that would be nice.

Bohdan-

How long can I run it on a 60w before I need to turn it off? I don't have a dimmer yet.
I'd leave it, it seems to have its own personality, i like that in a lamp!
