Project Update #13: Fluux LiquiMetal

Hello Backers,

We're shipping! 

By the end of the day today we will have about 400 units shipped and processing about 150 per day. We haven't hit any snags but the process is very easy to get out of sync so please bear in mind, these are just estimations.  We will not be able to send out automated tracking numbers however we will be sending out an update once all orders have been shipped so you know to keep an eye out. All domestic packages will be going out USPS priority mail which means 80% orders will have a 2 day transit time and all domestic orders will have a maximum transit time of 3 days. International transit times are not offered by USPS, except for Canada and Mexico, which are mostly in the 3 to 5 day range.

A couple of things we wanted to point out about the packaging:

The outer brown box will need to opened from both ends. It will seem very obvious when you get the box but I thought I'd save you some frustration.

The product box has a foam insert that holds everything safely in place and has finger cutouts to help remove the product, however, unless you have really small and super strong fingers it is very difficult to remove. 

We strongly recommend that you remove the magnet from it's slot first, then peel back the TOP foam layer to remove the glass vial and stand. There is a bit of glue that holds both foam layers together so you will feel some resistance, but they do separate. Not doing it this way can cause the glass vial to fling out and the logo on the stand to shift so please exercise caution when removing the product.

Lastly, we just want to remind everyone that this is not meant to be a toy and is not suitable for children. Ferrofluid can be very messy, glass can shatter and powerful magnets can pinch so please be very careful when handling.
