Anyone ever try the gold Sharpies for their goo kit?

I'd love to try and make a gold lamp with the Sharpies but thought Id ask here first. I haven't seen any pics so I guess no one has but I figured Id ask anyway.

I think Dr. What tried them awhile back and they did not work.  They use a different method than the silver
