I am a ex entertainment lighting student and freelancer, currently working in warehousing hopefully I will get back into the entertainment industry.
Lava lamp wise I have been collecting for years but have ramped up my collecting and re-making of lamps now.
I try to collect more unique lava lamps and also high quality classic lamps.

My First Lava Lamp was:
I got my first lava lamp about 9 years ago which was a basic cheap green lava lamp and from that I have been saving spare cash and buying more lava and also glitter lamps - my collection has about 40 lava and glitter lamps.
My first lava lamp lead to getting DJ / disco lights (of witch I have a small collection of) and then that grew into my interest in thearther and entertainment lighting which then lead on to a university course in lighting programming, freelance work in the entertainment industry and further experience of moving lights and live video.
That's basically how my interest in lighting started from 1 lava lamp.

Hey Tim, thanks for the invite, I have accepted. I will admit I know next to nothing about the site as of yet, but I just joined up. I did look at some of your pictures showing your collection, awesome! I mentioned what caught me, and that was the "Retro Basic Formula" I came across on the internet. I have a background in science, in fact i was once a science and math teacher when I was a young man. I now have 2 grown boys late 20's and early 30's and 2 beautiful grand daughters.
My youngest son lives in California, I live in the Orlando area. My youngest in Cal. is I guess what you would call a YOUTUBE star. He has been ranked in the top 50 all-time subscribed world-wide for many years now. He does as one of his sub-shows one that is based on scientific principles using household items, for the most part anyway. He has well over 1 million subscribers and it is what he does for a living. I often help him research themes for videos, which is what brought me to the site, + I love lava Lamps, I was a teenager when they became popular.
I did not study up on you at all, but I did see how active you are on Oozing Goo, so of course you grabbed mt attention. Let me know a bit about yourself, I am a straight shooter and as I just have shared with you, I hope you feel comfortable doing the same. At this point I am not sure how to know if you reply, but I will figure it out. Good to meet you and I hope we can become friends over time. Terry
Thanks Tim. I found my profile pic on some LL site. I noticed the Facebook LL used it lately as well. BTW, I really like your Magic Mixture pics on your page. Groovy ;)
