    Hey jerome and other oozers,

I'm a recovering scientist/optical engineer living in Boulder Colorado.. The site was referred to my by Fantasia (Thanks Kris!). I'm very interested in optical toys (lasers, plasma, LEDs, fiber and glitter lava lamps. I frequently create optical art and attend Burning Man type events.

Boulder is a great town for interdiciplinary artist to learn about other fields...art and science (like people) everywhere and folks are eager to share.

I'm currently working on an optical volcano using the "liquid sky" principle.

I also would like to build a giant glitter lava lamp, but I dont want to use the traditional thermal convection priciple. I like the impellar, near neutral boyancy principle used in the mystical glitter lamps...Anybody have a formula/source for the glitter solution?

I'd also light to build a giant fiber lamp that projects a holographic 3D video image of the earth or moon...but I think I'll have to build a reseach lab first.

I've collected many lamps over the years along with meteorites, antique telephones and Apollo astronaut autographs.

Looking forward to being an active and vhopefully valuable part of this community.

    Cheers,
    Jethro
