I'll take it! I mite have something u want..... Or u can try a 25,000 watt bulb. Or a hps 1,000 watt grow bulb lol

Try the 60watt as a test.  You will be able to tell if it gets too hot.  If it runs good before it gets too hot then get a dimmer and try dimming it down until you find the right setting without overheating.

it has a clear 40watt in it now. i tried foil in the base but it didnt help so maybe ill try a 60watt. but wout a 60watt burn it up?

You could try putting a higher wattage bulb and / or clear bulb in it that may help.

If that dosent work then you could consider adding some soap but if it were me I wouldent mess with it.

okay so i gave up on this lamp and its been in storage for afew months. just took it out again tonight and im waithing for it to get going...im tempted to open it up and fiddle with it. any suggestions???

kira, i have another globe just like it only its a '99 (this ones a '98) and it has great flow.

erin, thanks for the tip. ill try running it longer. it did seem alittle better when i ran it yesterday.
