well, if the artist is Elvgren, you've got yourself a very nice find.  Gil Elvgren was a prolific glamour artitst during the 1940's - 1960's.  His work is renowned across the world and his paintings captured many women in all their beauty from the period.  Have a look here for more of his work.

its an old tin tray i picked up at a boot sale, it was only 50p and the pictures on it are so nice
