Were this mine, I would put it on a dimmer, and dim it down far enough that the filaments just glowed amber. In the US, this general form of fixture has generically become known (though, even as a collector of vintage lighting, I'm not sure they were ever called this when new) as "sputnik" fixtures, after the spiky satellite. Over here, vintage shops charge over a hundred dollars for even the simplest sputnik fixtures of any kind; chrome ones command higher prices!
