Do you have a blacklight to help enjoy your fluoresent lamp? :)

I would be curious what it would look like.

Also, I think I will change my mind about the fluorescen green idea.

Everybody will say; Ooooo, Predator blood!!!! LOL!

How do you do that Don?

Maybe just blow in it lightly?

They also sell cans of compressed nitrogen which is used to fill the head-space of a bottle of wine

and displaces the air. I would think having an inert gas in there instead of air would be best.

The can has a little plastic tube (like what you get on a can of WD-40) and you squirt the nitrgen

in the headspace then very quickly put the rubber cap back on.

I dont know if that would make any difference, just a thought.

You are correct, i try to make the middle of the plunger have a lil air on it so when it cools it wont suck the plnger down too much

When you do put the cap back on, do you do it when the lamp is warm or cool?

If you seal it while warm, when it cools, it will form a bit of a vacuum, which I would think

is something you want to do.

you must run the lamp 3 or 4 times with cap off to be sure the air is all out

My good friend George told me that after you finish making the lamp you can not seal it for a day or so, because there are many air bubbles in the lmap, you cant seal it till they are all out, or the seal will pop off. It has happened to me on my first lamp that i made
