Glued these larger parts back together and got it to go back on top. Sealed???? 8)
Was hoping to find a new cap, but was afraid of the rarity.
As bad as this cap looks it still amazes me that this big of an item (the entire lava lamp) can fall 3' and this is the only detrimental result. A testament to the quality of the era.

Ouch! Yeah, you might try gluing, sanding and repainting. I'd try.

I've had my fair share of cracked caps, but not yet busted like this. :( Depending on how handy you are, you could try and put this back together, sand, and repaint. It would be a job out of my league though.
