Removed bottom base plate to fix dents, cleaned up dirty base, dirty cord, and replaced worn out wax and cloudy liquid. It's a beauty now!

Yeah, I want to preserve that original look! 40 years of grime, not so much ;)
Hi, Keith. So, I've removed the paint and squiggle when trying to clean them in the past. Just use Dawn dish soap, water, and a soft toothbrush to clean. And don't scrub too hard. :>) Good luck!
Kirk, what do you use for cleaning up a base like this? I've got one in bad shape that needs a deep cleaning, luckily it's not bent up.
