Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

1972 Yellow/Orange Commander Lava Lamp by Lava Lite

This was a fairly rare, though not very exciting, lamp made by Lava Lite in the 70s. The cap on this one has a sticker that says 1972. Color combo is a badly faded yellow/orange. Model 102. I attempted a re-dye, but the yellow faded.

Though the picture is neat, this is not what it looks like when running - very hard to capture the true colors. It's more of an orange wax in orange-looking fluid.

Per the Lava Library (via Jonas): The Commander
A short-lived early-70s series. No details are known, save that it was produced after the switch from orange to red lava (see below). A Starlight Aristocrat with a black base and cap.

This one is definitely yellow/orange though.

I didn't have all the details updated when you commented on it, I think. No worries!

Actually, it's orange yellow. Very hard to capture the color on this one!
