Some of these blue/white Carlisle's have such creamy wax -- much like a Giant. I love it, Libby.
It reminds me of one of my blue/white Carlisle's that I won on Ebay that came with the original box with the name, "Donna" imprinted on the side. I call it my Donna lamp and think of the Ritchie Valens song!
I certainly haven't found a cure, but I'm still in denial. LOL
Lala, thanks so much. I let one get by me for a bang up price a few months ago, not knowing what it was. Much to my embarrasment I thought it was a mutant "Blip." :-) Kirk had to tell me what it was. Yikes, on the "no cure." I'm running out of room now, and will start eating the packing so hubby won't see boxes. Good fiber. LOL
That's what I was afraid of, Keith. I have both neon and regular food coloring, but this one is not faded that badly, so decided discretion was the better part of valour. LOL I don't want to ruin it. It's a lovely little lamp. Really a darker aqua than shows in the pictures. I like it.
Screw caps never had a cap code. But that would be the same as a 03 blue/white. If you want the blue darker you can add food coloring. I would suggest that you dilute it before you add though, A little bit goes a long way. ;)
I like it a lot, Keith!! My first Carlisle! I think it is a bit faded, since the liquid is more aqua than blue, but not sure about colors I can't see a cap code on. The wax looks good and if flows great. I like the aqua liquid.
OOZy GOOdness right there.
