Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Someone asked what I meant when I said "low wax". It appears that the 60s globes had a lower level of wax for the 52oz. globes. Globes (L to R) #2 and #4 have "normal" levels of wax seen in Centuries from the 70s on, and globes #1, #3 and #5 have the lower-level of wax and were made in the 60s. The lower level wax globes, I've found, are see on Squiggles bases and Centuries that have the soft copper two-piece bases.

LOL Jerome. I actually agree with you somewhat. I think the bottles are neat, as-is.

I find different coloured bottles just make a nice display in their own right. Sounds crazy I know but I actually think that they make an attractive display without being lit or on bases!

I might start a new group here. 'Bottles not Bases'

They're like jewels!

The low-wax ones are the 60s formula, which could be operated for days at a time; if/when they overheated, you could switch them off for an hour, turn them back on and they'd keep going!

Also, from left to right: 1) yellow/orange, 60s model #102, 2) blue-green/yellow, 70s model #104 (I think), 3) green/yellow, 60s model #104, (I think), 4) blue/green, early 70s model #103 and 5) "green"/red, 60s model #101.
