Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

New Grande I recently purchased from Amazon. This was the inaugural run! It's a bit cloudy, so here's to hoping it clears up soon. Edit: the lamp was returned to amazon for a replacement.

tiffany - you are going to love this.  i received the new grande today (UPS), and it was shipped upside down in a very large box. :)  however, the lamp is actually quite clear!  i'll post some photos later tonight.

tim - initially i checked the local spencer's, but the largest they carry is the 52oz.  i can't think of another place that sells them locally, so i'm going to have to mail order.

is there a better way to contact Lava Lite other than through lavalistens@lavalite.com?  also - do they usually request that you ship the faulty lamp back and pay shipping, or do they just send a new one and let you keep the old one?

I don't think that is going to clear at all, cycling it helps if its a bit cloudy but often with the China globes they dont clear up if cycled.

Yea get a replacement or refund and get another lamp with the money idealy if you could get it from a shop as you can see if its cloudy before you buy.

well this just stinks.  i sent an e-mail to lavalistens@lavalite.com, but received an out-of-office response.  i've also read the numerous threads on this forum regarding cloudy grandes - some seem to clear over time, but others do not.  i'm hoping to receive a replacement as i'm quite disappointed.

its blue/yellow...and it pretty much looks like yours. ive tried to contact lava light but havnt heard anything back yet. i the mean time im just going to cycle it like crazy. idk if it can be cleared by cycling or not...if you seach it on here you get mixed answers...some say it will never clear and some say it will after a while. if it doesnt clear i will def gookit or filter.
