We used to have a comedian here in the UK and his Catchphrase was 'Milky Milky' (Being that he was obsessed with sour and off Milk). He would have loved this lamp in his creepy little hovel.
It's a new colourway - Milk and Blueberry
I thought I had seen it all! That's downright disgusting.
Its a "Purple Blizzard" !
I say post it on their Facebook page and act all thrilled and tell them how you love the new milk format !!! Show it to the world!
I think if LL would've checked them after they were shipped to the US then this could've have been prevented and LL wouldn't have to eat the costs, which I'm sure they are doing in some way not to mention ruin their rep with Spencers.
What they really should do is take this picture and make a HUGE 20 ft banner and hang it in there new warehouse. Some inspiration and motivation to make their move back home even faster.
It probably happened in shipping, not in production or packing. Once they are packed, you don't see the globe any more.
Here's what I dont get, if LL has a "quality control" how do they miss something like this? I mean this is straight up MILK. I dont even think a MSR filter would help this lamp.
Is this an older 90's lamp or a newer one. Speaking frankly. I received a 90's lamp in this exact condition. it was a clear lime for an alien. I was so dismayed. I cycled it 4x a day via timer in a cold part of the house. In 6 weeks it was crystal clear. That only works for the American made lava lamps if it was clouded from shipping and not abuse.
They get this way from the factory doing cost cutting without Lava Lite's permission. That is why these were pulled. These lamps leave the factory crystal clear, but due to the bad formula inside they cloud up. To get an idea why stuff like this happens you all should read this book.

The Chinese have a very different mentality when it comes to producing things. The workers don't even know what they are making. This is the very reason Lava Lite is packing up its bags and leaving China.
