Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

Found this neat gem at Goodwill for 13 dollars. Love having some one who works the trucks keeping an eye out for lamps

This, Lavamaniac, is the rarest Lantern style. First came the all-copper models suspected to have been imported from Crestworth in the UK. Then came this, which I believe to be an attempt to copy the Crestworth model; has a brassy base and cap with copper folding handle, side rods and faux kerosene fill cap. After this came the common simplified Lanterns, which ditched the kerosene cap, and made a simpler one-piece handle which clipped into the base (NEVER pick up this kind by the handle, though I don't recommend this with any Lantern).

Not only that, but yours is in one of the two rarest colors: green/blue using dark green lava (it later became light green, then white, but was still called green/blue). The other rare color is ORANGE/yellow (which became red/yellow but was still called orange/yellow).

For thirteen bucks, this is an amazing steal. Great find, and really beautiful!! Keep a tight reign on this one!
