Yes it's a gookit.
I don't know if your wax will act the same as the gookit, but this lamp turned white after few runs.

is this with a goo kit? because i was wondering how to make white wax. I've been making all of my wax from scratch and was wondering it it has the same effect?

Yes, but it won't stay clear long.

After few run it will become white.

I was considering putting clear lava in a 24 inch lava lamp, would that work out nicely?
