This actually happens with vintage ones so often that I call it "Consort syndrome." It's a change in the lamp's specific gravity, and I think the old ones may be able to be tweaked by adding a few drops of distilled water. As for this one, I don't know; these used a special-density formula, and standard 1990s lava will only work sort-of.

If that condition lasts for over four hours, take it to the ER!  Medical emergency........or so they say on TV.  ;-)

Sorry, LB, I think that one needs major surgery.  :-(

heh! I refilled it with peace lamp lava and fluid many years ago. The fluid got cloudy so I replaced it with Lava brand fluid from a Pre china globe. What went up will not come down.

what happened here? seperated and got stock at top as it solidified.
