eiffel tower with base
This shows the base that I modified. It used to be a lava lamp/CD holder, but I used the lava in another project, so the rewired base now also has a new life!

Metallic wax was in a cheap-o lamp from Big Lots. The lamp wouldn't flow, so I poured off the water and made my own water using the good wax.
Crazy....but it worked!
