Oozing Goo - The Lava Lamp Syndicate

The 1974 is actually an aqua liquid with light blue wax. In real life, it doesn't look like the lava is green at all. The 2000, I believe, is a faded 24, based on the fact that the # on the bottlecap is 124.

Thank you! The red one took a couple weeks to flow properly. I checked out your thread. I agree with what LampHead posted. I picked up some fog juice today and I am going to try it on the Aztec in the pic below as the salt solution has clouded it.

Wow, yours look great storm98. :)

I thought all the Centuries had a heat ring. I've tried a clear and frosted.

The wax just looks so funky in mine. Almost like it's too thin or something: http://oozinggoo.ning.com/forum/topics/1974-lamp-weird-flow

A 1974 wouldnt have a heat ring. I'm not an overheating expert by any means but I would try a clear 40w first. I have 2 70's Centuries and have no problem using clear 40's in them. They can run 24x7 without any problems. Red is a 65-70 2-piece Century base. No date on the blue sadly. I would guess early 70.

Yep, it flows OK for awhile, but about 2 or so hours in, a giant chunk starts residing at the top and then 4+ hours in, giant blobs of lava hang out in the middle. I found out it's missing the heat ring, too.

I like it, too. It's faded though. It looks like green/lite green.

I love the blue/green with the gold base. I have one just like yours. Lava Lite should have kept this combo.
