I just realized what bugs me about the base and cap.  ( Not that I don't like it, just a minor thing.)  The base blends with the red of the globe but the cap doesn't blend with the blue of the globe, it continues the pattern from the base as if the globe wasn't there.  That'll bug me for a while now!

I figured as much. Thank LL for the spray then..it's definitely more pleasing to the eye.

OK, so it's not like I have fluke lamp. This one just has less wax in it.

There is less wax in mine. Kinda like... Mathmos lamps.

Probably because the globe is sprayed... maybe that's why you don't see the "bubbles". I like it though.... would like a little more wax however.

I noticed the same thing Erin. Less wax but at least the globe isn't full of bubbles like the Neons.

I have noticed that there's ever so slightly less wax in these than regular 32oz-ers. Or maybe it's just mine. I thought about getting a 2nd one, too. I have plans to paint another 32oz. base and stick this globe on there.
