First heating on new grande

I'm new to all this and this is my first lamp. This is my new grande and the lava kinda turned on me and I'm wondering if this looks normal. It's kinda got me nervous. It's melting the inside of the wax and the coil is at the bottom

Its fine. Just make sure you run the lamp for a full 8 hours.
